This week we are looking at you, teenagers!

If you love to read, and enjoy hanging out with friends in fun and friendly spaces, the program coordinator for the Madison County Public Library would like to speak with you about becoming part of the Library's Teen Advisory Group (TAG).

TAG Volunteers assist with a variety of projects, including program planning, shelf cleaning, event assistance, creating displays, and other special projects. TAG volunteers meet from 5 pm to 6 pm on the first Wednesday of each month at both the Richmond and Berea locations.

The TAG team keeps track of all volunteer hours, and attendance at TAG meetings counts as one volunteer hour. A student who participates in TAG for a full year can earn at least 10 volunteer hours simply by attending the monthly meetings. If a student needs to fulfill a specific volunteer-hour requirement, coordinators are happy to work with them to help meet that goal, within reason and based on available opportunities.

The next TAG meeting will be Wednesday, October 7. Below is a TAG application:

For more information, contact Hailey Brinegar at the Richmond Library location. Or, complete the application above and drop it off at your local branch, or email it to Hailey.
